In partnership with Rachel Robinson and the Jackie Robinson Foundation, Gensler worked to design a public space to commemorate the life of an extraordinary public figure who inspired a generation of aspiring athletes and paved the way in the Civil Rights Movement. The immersive, media-based exhibits allow visitors to experience the triumphs, hardships and prejudice that Jackie Robinson faced throughout his life and career. The exhibits integrate physical artifacts, photographs, and digital experience touchpoints that are seamlessly integrated into the architecture of the space.
